What's happening at HNPL in October 2025?

Hello patrons! Good news! Renovations are complete and we plan to be fully open sometime this month. Look out for the date on our social media channels by clicking on the provided links in this newsletter at the bottom. While we are putting the library back together, please take a look at all the upcoming events, programs, and opportunities by exploring each one below. We hope to see you in the mini library and when we open the main building.

We can't thank the volunteers from Cicero Christian Church enough for their help in getting the library one step closer to being put back together.

Mini Library

The mini library is still open for a portion of October! Patrons can browse through a limited selection of books, DVDs, board games, and other items when they visit. Can't find a certain book? No problem! Ask a staff member for help. Technology services are also available.

Please note: Faxing is unavailable at this time. Scan to email is still available and is always free.

Storytime

Storytime continues this October! Come join us Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday throughout the month for some entertaining storybooks, songs, and rhymes.

Please note: There will be no Storytime Oct. 21, 22, and 23. Storytime is planned to return to Hamilton North Public Library for Oct. 28, 29, and 30.

Rooted in Art

HNPL Friends of the Library's biggest fundraiser ever has kicked off! Paint a small 4"X4" tile and it will become part of this beautiful 8'x8' mosaic mural.

Your painting kit is $25 and includes everything you need - tile, paint, brushes, and ideas!

Visit the library to purchase your tile painting kit and join us on this incredible journey to raise money for our library art programs and Makerspace.

Friends Meeting

Looking to make a difference in the community? What about meeting new people and volunteering? If you answer yes, then you should join Friends of the Library! Come see what they’re all about!

Mystery Book Club

October 27 | 3:30–4:30 PM | Meeting Room A/B

Come join us for the monthly Mystery Book Club meeting! New members are always welcome. We will be discussing Allison Brook's Death Overdue. Hope to see you there!

Mocktails & Booktales

October 28 | 5:30–6:30 PM | Meeting Room A/B

Come join us as we converse about books we are reading, while enjoying some non-alcoholic drinks and appetizers. This month's book is Ghost Story by Peter Straub.

HNPL Knitters

Mondays

10:00 AM–12:00 PM | Ages: 18+

A group for beginners and experienced knitters of all levels. Bring your knitting, crochet, cross stitch, and other yarn projects and work on them with others in this cozy community. Don't have a project? No worries! We will get you started on one. There is room for everyone of all experiences!

Open Art Studio

Tuesdays

12:00–2:00 PM | Ages: 18+

This is a great opportunity to network with other local artists and work on your art projects!
