HNPL Friends of the Library's biggest fundraiser ever has kicked off! Paint a small 4"X4" tile and it will become part of this beautiful 8'x8' mosaic mural. Your painting kit is $25 and includes everything you need - tile, paint, brushes, and ideas! Visit us on Saturday at the Cicero Farmer's Market - or visit the library - to purchase your tile painting kit and join us on this
incredible journey to raise money for our library art programs and Makerspace. Get ready - let's PAINT!

Summer Reading Challenge 2025
The Summer Reading Challenge 2025: Color Our World ends July 27. 1. Go to hnpl.beanstack.org or use the Beanstack Tracker App to register. You can also use the registration button below. 2. Log 500 minutes of reading to earn (up to 30) e-tickets to place in drawings of your choice for a chance to win that prize. Also, earn badges and collect rewards when you hit reading
milestones. 3. Winners will be selected at the end of Summer Reading. Good luck!

Summer Reading Finale: Professor Steve

Get ready for the most amazing, awesome, and colorful program you have ever seen as Professor Steve presents his amazing "Science of Color" Show. Learn how your eyes work. Discover the truth about the light that comes from the sun. See things change color right before your eyes. Have fun as you learn cool color-changing magic tricks that you can do at home. Gasp as you see colorful worms appear right in front of you. Lots of

Kids' Program July Schedule

Make handprint art to contribute to the collaborative art project that will be located on the Friends of the Library bookstore windows. Children will be using washable non-toxic paint for this project.

Storytime with a twist! We'll read a story then the children will have fun learning through messy exploration of various stations. Be sure to have your children wear clothes that can get dirty. Registration required.

Get ready to mix, fizz, and swirl your way through the science of color! In this bright and bubbly STEAM storytime, we’ll read fun books about colors and experiment with simple, safe chemistry activities that explore how colors mix and change. Registration required.

Join us for a very special storytime as we are read stories by a firefighter from the Cicero Fire Department. We'll get a fire helmet and then go behind the library and tour their firetruck!

Join us to watch anime, eat snacks, sketch your favorite anime and manga characters, discuss your favorite anime shows/movies and manga books, and make suggestions for our collection! Vote on what we'll watch during our next meeting. The library has a premium Crunchyroll subscription with over 2,000 titles and 50,000 episodes to choose from! This program is for teens
only. Age range will be strictly enforced. Behavior expectations must be read and signed at the beginning of the program.

Blending with Colored Pencils

This is a great opportunity to network with other local artists, work on your art projects, and have fun at the library! Bring your projects and supplies to our Makerspace.
