The Big Blowout Book Sale is making it's return this March! There will be tables of books, CDs, and audiobooks as far as the eye can see for you to choose from. Stay tuned for more details coming soon.
All proceeds go to the 2025 Summer Reading program and Friends of the Library improvement projects. Have unwanted books? Donate them and they'll be added
to our sale. We'll give them an opportunity to find a new home!

A new group for beginners and experienced knitters of all levels. Bring your knitting, crochet, cross stitch, and other yarn projects and work on them with others in this cozy community. Don't have a project? No worries! We will get you started on one. There is room for everyone of all experiences!

Are you ready for a SUPA AWESOME Dog Man Hero Party? Let's celebrate the release of Dav Pilkey's latest Dog Man graphic novel: Big Jim Begins and the new movie: Dog Man! Join us for a snack, games, crafts, and some supa silly fun!

Children under the age of 8 must have a caregiver present in the program room and children 8 and over must have a caregiver aged 14 or over in the library during the program. Please let your children know where you will be in the library in case they finish early.

HNPL now has a seed library! Take home seed packets to start your own garden or leave some packets to help others start theirs. There may be a limit on certain packets depending on supplies.

Enjoy free play with wooden blocks, Lincoln Logs, magnetic tiles, Keva planks, carboard bricks, Mega Blocks, and other toy construction materials. It's play time!
Here's a tip: Talk to your children about what they are building as they learn early STEM skills and build new vocabulary.

Local teens looking to make a difference are encouraged to stop by. Share ideas with your fellow teens and enjoy some provided snacks.

The 3rd Annual Taste of Chocolate fundraising event is back! Bring your best chocolate creation for judging and, of course, tasting! Not a baker? That's okay! Join in on the fun by tasting and voting for your favorite with your spare change. There will be prizes. Come unleash your sweet tooth with us! All proceeds go to the HNPL Friends of the Library for the Summer Reading Program and other library
programming.

Is your child reading but needs to build their confidence? Meet Betsy, a certified therapy dog that would be more than happy to listen to any story told to her. This is a great opportunity to network with other local artists, work on your art projects, and have fun at the library! Bring your projects and supplies to our Makerspace. The library has some basic art supplies, such as paints, brushes, and paper you may use along with your own personal supplies. Join us. It's free! No registration required.
