Construction Starts Apr. 17
Starting Apr. 17 at 8:30 AM, renovations to the front entrance bathrooms are scheduled to begin. Programs and library services will carry on as usual. Please enter the library using the Jenkins Meeting Room doors until the construction is completed. We apologize for the inconvenience. Follow our social media for updates.

Basket Drop-off: Apr. 1–18
Want to help out? Friends of HNPL invite businesses, organizations, churches, and patrons to decorate and fill a basket for the library's Silent Auction. No alcohol. Drop-off starts Apr. 1 and bidding starts Apr. 21. The auction will conclude at 1:45 PM at the Spaghetti Fundraiser. All proceeds from the auction will benefit Friends of the Library and the Summer Reading program.

Spring is here and that means it’s time for the annual Spaghetti Dinner and Silent Auction. Join the Friends of the Library for a delicious dinner including pasta, bread sticks, salad, and hand-crafted desserts, all for a Free Will donation. You’ll also have the opportunity to put in your last-minute bid on a wide variety of gift baskets in the silent auction. Bidding ends at 1:45 PM. All proceeds benefit the
library’s Summer Reading Program.

Join us for a fun afternoon as we eat snacks, do activities, conduct experiments, and watch short videos related to the historical events of the book. This month's book is I Survived the Sinking of the Titanic, 1912 by Lauren Tarshis. You do not have to read the book ahead of time, but it may help when we discuss it. Here's a tip: Talk to your children about what they are building as they learn early STEM skills and build new vocabulary.

STEM Storytime: Forces and Motion

Is your child reading but needs to build their confidence? Meet Betsy, a certified therapy dog that would be more than happy to listen to any story told to her. Storytime at Rookery Preserve

Come out to the Rookery Preserve for a special storytime in partnership with Hamilton County Parks and Naturalist Amanda Smith. Ms. Anna will share a story and then we'll make nests out of natural materials. Benjamin Harrison Escape Room

Calling all Yarn Crafters! HNPL Knitters Club is still looking for members. If you have an interest in crocheting, knitting, cross stitching, and any other yarn art please join us. For the month of April HNPL Knitters will be exchanging unfinished projects. If you have an unfinished project, or you would like to pick up someone else's project please stop by.

If you are into any form of art this is the space for you. Bring your current project to work on. If you don't have a current project, we have plenty of artists to suggest one.
